I’m going to show you how to set up a fundraising page on Facebook. So I’m already logged into my Facebook account where I want to go and on Facebook is www.facebook.com/babelsubgrazing page where you can start up a fundraiser for your favorite nonprofit for example iron USA.

So I’m going to go ahead and click here on raise money to get started, so this pop-up comes up from Facebook about what to do next and I’m all going to go ahead and press get started here so who are you raising money for I am going to raise money for iron US, which is a non-profit organization.

So I’m going to go here to nonprofits and search for a non-profit to support here I’m going to type in iron USA and here we go it comes up as our first option and there’s a little check mark by it to show that it’s verified. So here we are I’m going to raise money for iron USA.

I can decide how much I want to raise here um looks like the default is two $200, so I’m just going to go ahead and say that’s how much I want to raise for iron and when should your fundraiser end.

So since this is for giving Tuesday which is November 27th.  I’m going to go ahead and maybe give myself a little bit more time after the 27th but go ahead and bracket it maybe November 30th sounds good to me.

So then I’ll just double check to make sure I have everything here I want to raise money for iron USA I want to raise $200 and I want my fundraiser and a little bit after giving Tuesday.  So I’ll say November 30th then so this tells me that it’s public anybody can see this fundraiser but only people on Facebook can donate.

I’m going to go ahead and write next, so then this is going to go ahead and bring up some information about what you want your title of your fundraiser to be and a note on why you are raising money for iron USA and we’ll go ahead and share a template blurb a template that you can use to fill out your description or you can feel free to make this as personal as you’d like that really tells your story about why your support and iron USA and why you’re encouraging people in your network to also support iron US for now I’m just going to go ahead and stick with this default title and the default text.

Then it lets me choose a cover photo I think that looks pretty nice, so here it says face book charges no fees for donations to nonprofits and then all donations will go directly to the nonprofit.

You chose and yeah I’ll go ahead and create this and now I have a nice congratulations message my fundraiser has been published and I can go ahead and share it with all my friends to help me reach my fundraising goal and then you know you can also this will bring you to a page where you can invite your friends.

You can directly invite friends to donate to your fundraiser and you can share about your fundraiser in your newsfeed.  So that is basically how you’re able to create a fundraiser on Facebook.
