How to screenshot on a Dell Chromebook, detail tutorial.

In today’s digital age, it’s important to be able to capture screenshots of what’s on your screen. Whether you’re wanting to save a picture of something for later or you need to send a screenshot as part of a support ticket, being able to take screenshots is a valuable skill.

Dell Chromebooks make taking screenshots easy all you need is the keyboard shortcut.

Here’s how it works:

1. First, press and hold the “Ctrl” key and then press the “Window Switcher” key (it looks like two squares).

2. A small window will open in the lower-right corner of your screen.

3. Click on the small thumbnail in the lower-left corner of the screen, and a larger version of that image will appear in a new tab or window.

4. Now you can do whatever with it you want.

If you’d rather use your mouse to take a screenshot instead of your keyboard, simply highlight and press “Ctrl +” and then click on the area you wish to capture.

This works just like taking screenshots does on other devices which run Chrome OS such as Chromebook Pixel, Dell Chromebox or Acer C720 Chromebooks.

1. Press and hold the “Ctrl” key and then press the “Window Switcher” key (it looks like two squares).

2. A small window will open in the lower-right corner of your screen.

3. Click on the small thumbnail in the lower-left corner of the screen, and a larger version of that image will appear in a new tab or window.

How to capture a specific area for a screenshot on a Chromebook

On your computer, open up the Google Chrome browser and navigate to a specific page.

Press CONTROL+SHIFT simultaneously (CTRL + ALT).

This will activate “Screenshot mode.”

Now click anywhere onto an area of this web page that you want captured.

To save it as an image file on either Dropbox or OneDrive just right-click then select ‘save link’ from options which should appear when clicking over them with whatever program they are using at present like Microsoft Word while trying not including any personal information besides who is browsing history if anything else is being saved along those lines, doing so under FireFox users will have no choice other than selecting Save Image Location.

Screenshots in tablet mode using the buttons

In tablet mode, most 2-in-1 and Chromebut devices do not have immediate access to a keyboard.

Thankfully there is an easy way for those who need screen captures on the go: press Power + Volume Down simultaneously.

Your screenshot will be saved as soon as you make this gesture, simply release one button at time when prompted by your device after pressing both buttons together in order confirm it worked properly.
