The Asus ROG Strix G15 144Hz has a lot of features that make it an excellent choice for gamers, and the reviews show that.
The Asus ROG Strix G15 144Hz is designed with all sorts of gamer-centric features such as programmable macro keys and on-the-fly overclocking to help you win those competitive battles, with this keyboard, Asus has made gaming performance its top priority.
The Asus Rog G-series will be one of the few laptops out there built to work with Nvidia’s upcoming GTX 10 series GPUs.
The laptop contains a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070, which is an update to their previous flagship mobile card, the Nvidia GeForce GTX 980 Mobile. Asus has packed a lot of power into this laptop, and I got to play with the Asus Rog G751JT-CH71 model (a 17 inch gaming notebook) for an extended period of time at Asus’ Tech World in San Francisco during last week’s Asus press event.
Asus calls their Asus ROG Strix G15 144Hz the Asus Rog G-series “the world’s first Nvidia GeForce GTX 10 series laptops.”
Asus is keen to emphasize these new Asus Rog G751JT-CH71 models, which will be available in 15.6 inch and 17.3 inch versions, are also Asus’ lightest ever gaming laptops.
Asus states the Asus ROG Strix G15 144Hz weighs in at less than 7 pounds, and you should be able to get Asus Rog G751JT-CH71 models with a 1080p or even 4K display (in certain configurations).
The Asus Rog G751JT-CH71 I used for this article was configured with a Asus ROG Strix G15 144Hz 1920x1080p Asus Rog G751JT-CH71 display.
The Asus Asus ROG Strix G15 144Hz looks exactly like previous models, with an angular black aluminum lid on the top of its body.
The ASUS logo is in the middle of lid with a ROG logo on each side. Asus has also put red accents around each Asus Rog G751JT-CH71 on the top of the keyboard, along all four edges of the laptop, and even around black vents found on either side below the display.
Asus has opted for a black-and-red color scheme on the Asus Rog G751JT-CH71. The keyboard on this Asus Rog G15 is identical to previous models with red back lighting.
Comfort was not sacrificed in the Asus Rog G15 Asus Asus design, either. The keyboard is comfortable to type on and feels exactly like previous editions’ keyboards.
The typing was very easy on the Asus Rog G15 .
The touchpad isn’t anything special, but it’s Asus Rog G15 to use and responsive for daily tasks.
The ROG Gaming Center included on every laptop in the G series allows Asus rog to monitor stats on system performance, CPU and GPU usage, lets them control fan speeds for cooling, turn off the Asus rog , set up macros for their keyboard, create custom profiles or enable/disable Windows keys.
Asus has added a new feature called Asus Asus rog Asus rng in the Asus Rog G15.
This feature allows one to charge other USB devices when the laptop is powered off. This provides quick charging to cell phones or even batteries connected via USB when you don’t want to turn on your Asus rog.
We’ve seen other Asus rog doing this for a while, but it’s still a unique and useful feature to have on the Asus Rog G15.
In terms of performance, Asus rog crams a lot of high-end components into an Asus rog.
I found the Asus Rog G15 performance to be impressive. Although you don’t get an optical drive with the Asus rog, it’s still a huge gaming laptop that I found comfortable to transport, even if it is slightly heavier than other similarly sized notebooks.
The Asus rog is particularly impressive with its storage and RAM.
The Asus Rog G15 has a premium build, excellent performance, and useful gaming features for those willing to pay the price.
The Asus rog is not cheap, starting at $1,899, but I think it’s worth the price if you’re looking for an high-end gaming laptop.
The design of the Asus Rog G15 is a big with a super-high price tag. If Asus Rog could bring the retail price of this model down, it might be a better value proposition for gaming fans.
Asus’s new gaming laptop offers some great gaming performance and thoughtful gaming features.
