What is Python?
Python is a general-purpose programming language designed to make it easy to create and manipulate applications.
It is one of the two most popular Python programming languages (the other is CPython), and it has rapidly emerged as a general-purpose open source platform for scientific computing, machine learning, data science, and other computer science projects.
Wikipedia describes Python as “a general-purpose, high-level, compiled programming language designed to be used by computer scientists and programmers for a wide variety of applications…its implementation can run on a wide variety of systems.
What to look for in a laptop for Python Programming
Python is the most popular language in the world. It’s one of the most popular in the web and a widely-used scripting language to build programs, websites, and apps.
Python can run on nearly any modern hardware with a couple exceptions; everything is optimized for a 64-bit processor and there is a sizable hardware bill to run it.
With the Python community growing quickly, there are bound to be new innovations in technology that need a laptop for Python programming.
This guide focuses on laptops specifically built with Python in mind. If you’re looking for general purpose or standard laptop that is also optimized for video editing or graphics, then this isn’t the guide for you.
I’ve tried to compile this list for you in a way that makes it as complete as possible.
What is the best laptop for Python programming?
There are many variables that go into this decision making. Some of these variables are that:
- You are trying to decide between several options and needs
- You have a limited budget,
- The intended usage of the laptop
- The desired performance on the laptop
Before you begin to make this choice, it is important to understand that the weight of your laptop is not as important as the weight of a machine you’re to use. The CPU speed is more important for fast computation.
It is crucial to use the right laptop for your needs. You should try to determine the best laptop that is both easy to use and performs well, that would be a waste of your time.
Final thoughts and resources
Once you know what you want, you can spend a couple hours shopping for a laptop with a graphics card that has the fastest GPU, the most memory, and a fast CPU.
Whatever computer you choose, you will always be able to find more of the computers that have those exact specifications.
